As a pianist with an international academic background, Chen received a systematic education in the United States. Chen's piano skills are rooted in a diverse teacher-student relationship: she is a student of Eduardus Halim, the last descendant of the legendary Horowitz School, and has inherited the elegant touch tradition of the Romantic piano.
